About Journal

Journal of Limb Salvage is a peer-reviewed, open access, multidisciplinary medical journal published in English under Logos Medical Publishing. Three issues are published annually in February, June and October. The journal can be accessed at on the Internet. Original research articles are the main form of communication. However, review articles, case reports, technical notes, editorial articles and correspondence letters are also accepted for publication if they are deemed original, useful and relevant to the scope of the journal.

Aim of the Journal

The aim of the journal is to contribute to the medical literature regarding the art and science of limb salvage. The editorial board aims to provide the ultimate scientific medium for clinicians and researchers who have dedicated themselves to the best practice of saving limbs threatened by disease or trauma and to the advancement of diagnostic and therapeutic modalities in this field.  The rationale for establishing this journal originates from a lack of means of communication in both national and international databases for authors from a wide variety of disciplines with a specific common goal.

Scope of the Journal

The journal welcomes scientific papers from orthopedic oncologists and orthopedic surgeons from other subspecialties, plastic and reconstructive surgeons, vascular surgeons, oncologists and all other allied health professionals and basic science researchers reporting on material relevant to limb salvage. The scope of the journal is to address issues concerning the management of extremities at risk whether due to neoplastic diseases, tumor-like conditions, trauma, infection, vascular pathologies, inflammatory pathologies or diabetes.
